VENGAI
Masala director Hari announced a new movie with Dhanush as ‘Aruva’ but that title seemed to be too sharp that our sources say has been changed to ‘Vengai’. Well looks like the only change as of now seems to be the title. Everything else seems to be in tact, right from members of crew to the cast. Tamannah, the heroine that all heroes want to act with, will be Dhanush’s pair in the movie. Veteran actor Raj Kiran plays an important role. ‘Vengai’ is supposedly a story based in Sivagangai district so it’s a rural tale where Dhanush plays a villager’s role. Sources whisper that the movie will be a complete mass entertainer that will also be entertaining to the family audiences.

VENGAI
Vengai is a film which has Dhanush and Thamanna in the lead roles. Raj Kiran is donning an important role in this film. Hari is directing this film. Hari while speaking about this film said,” This is also a village based study. Of all the 10 films I have directed, I carry my camera and run to Karaikkudi.
I will show that place itself as Tirunalveli or Tuticorin. Now that place has become like my native place. The rituals they do during the marriage or child birth and for all the good and bad things are so wonderful. Dhanush has also become as if that place is his native place. For the first time Dhanush is acting in my film.
For a very long time, I like him very much. We cannot say anything about wrong about his acting. I was little scared whether he will suit in this film because he use to act in romantic films directed by his brother. But after seeing Polladhavan and Padikadhavan, I saw his growth. Immediately I felt that I should utilize him. I caught him at the right time. I got hold of him tightly and embraced him.
I am going to take him to my place. So I told him that you will miss your family and children for one month and asked him to pamper his kids. With regard to the heroine Thamanna, I have not told the story to any of my heroines. I will send my assistants to them. But in the case of Thamanna, I sat with her for three hours and narrated the story to her.
I wanted to bring a brave effect to her role who is scared of cockroaches and lizards. I told that how she should transform herself to extend of wielding a sickle. Though she is a Mumbai girl, she understood the role and we will be to extract the work from her.”

Produced by B Bharathi Reddy on behalf of the famed Vijaya Productions, the film will have Tamannah as heroine. Remember the same production house made Dhanush’s ‘Padikadhavan’ last year with the same Tamannah as female lead.
And interestingly, it was Bharathi Reddy who also produced ‘Thamirabharani’, one of the earlier films of Hari. “These factors have raised expecations on the movie,” sources close to the director say.
Devi Sri Prasad, who composed chartbusters for ‘Singam’, will score music for ‘Venghai’ too. Rajkiran, Kalabhavan Mani and Ganja Karuppu will play important roles. Cinematography is by Vetri and editing by V T Vijayan

This is the first time Dhanush & Tamannaah will be joining hands with director Hari. Hari’s grand success with ‘Singam’ has reached him to the epitome of success and now he is back with yet another action thriller laced with commercial ingredients. The film will be shot in the backdrops of Sivagangai and will portray Dhanush in a completely different manner while for the first time Thamannaah will appear with half-saris in whole Movie.
Ganja Karuppu plays an important role and cinematographer Vetri handles the camera works. Cinematographer Priyan has been associated with Hari in his past 10 films and due to his busy schedules with another film; he has signed Vetri and Devi Sri Prasad scores music.

So now Hari have announced his next film with Dhanush. They have titled the film name as “Vengai”. In this Tamanna will pair Dhanush. Raj Kiran will act in an important role. About film director Hari said that, ” If an anger person takes knife its wrong, but if a guard takes knife its not wrong is the one line story of the film. In this film Dhanush is acting as anger village guy. Tamanna comes as village girl. The film story is based on Sivagangai district and so we have planned to shoot in Sivagangai itself. ” said so Hari. First they planned to keep the film name as “Aruva” only, but that some how got leaked and many passed teasing comments about title and so Hari have changed the film title to “Vengai”.
